Effect of the anchoring group (carboxylate vs phosphonate) in Ru-complex-sensitized Ti[O.sub.2] on hydrogen production under visible light
Article Abstract:
Six Ru-bipyridyl complexes having di-, tetra-, and hexacarboxylate and di-, tetra- and hexaphosphonate as the anchoring group, are synthesized and six different sensitized Ti[O.sub.2] are prepared using them. Their visible light reactivity for hydrogen production in aqueous suspension is investigated. The effects of the anchoring group on the sensitized production of hydrogen are found to be different from those on the dye-sensitized solar cell.

Excess Gibbs potential model for multicomponent hydrogen clathrates
Article Abstract:
A new thermodynamic calculation procedure utilizing an excess Gibbs potential is described to predict the equilibrium conditions of multicomponent gas hydrates containing hydrogen. The model prediction is good for the ternary and quaternary mixture hydrates, but its error has increased with increasing pressure and temperature under the presence of THF (tetra-hydrofuran).
